Absolutely pret à couture for intentions, inspiration and concrete realization: the f/w 2016-17 ready to wear collection by Moschino is an incredible hymn to savoir faire and fantasy. Irreverent brand par excellence it's worlwide considered pret à portér maybe just because it presents its collection during the Milan pap fashion week, but its creations are delightly couture for shapes, fabrics and innovative design solution. Take a look at the model sashayed down the catwalk dressed in a two-tiered crystal chandelier or other iconic garments that appeared to have been salvaged from the flames, with singed holes in the fabric.
The collection is inspired by Bonfire of the Vanities which took place in Florence in the 1490s: during the event, objects considered sinful were publicly burned.
Mirrors, musical instruments, manuscripts, works of art and decoration and clothing – beautiful, life-enhancing, liberating clothing – were all put to flame.
