The expansion of human ingenuity and craft is a central theme within this season.
Under the aegis of the Ethical Fashion Initiative and CABES they explored how the sensibilities of these practices can communicate a hybrid with contemporary design.
They expanded their partnership within the artisans of Loong Neeré, Apepf De La Femme and Azpef Zoodo where traditional techniques of textile development served as the premise for our SS23 Collection.
They extended this season by collaborating with emerging South African designer Fikile Sokhulu on a select piece, with her distinct signature silhouette and use of fabric manipulation through gathering, they wanted the importance of social impact
to be woven within both worlds of each label.
Through the exploration of ornate and considered jewellery, they worked hand-inhand with South African jewellery label, PICHULIK.
The neat collection is an odyssey of totemic items that had been created, expanding on PICHULIK’s signature roping & sculptural brass finishes together with LM’s continuous exploration of unconventional and artisanal sensibilities through cast glass elements.
This collection is a continuum of their archives and is rooted in provenance of the human connection and the pure spirit of design.
