This season Olivier Theyskens explores a fluid and androgynous sophistication to evoke a new future.
The masterly tailoring emphasizes the House’s iconic long dresses in a fluid dialogue that emancipates itself from gender. With relaxed cuts, oversized volumes and ample shoulders, this mixed and controlled tailoring asserts the timelessness of forms in contrast with velvety textures and iridescent technical material.
Worn over a freely unbuttoned fluid satin shirt or a vinyl turtleneck the suit is alternately entirely embroidered with iridescent or mother of pearl sequins, sprinkled with a shower of crystals or in hypnotic reflective variants
The long dresses, dear to Loris Azzaro, reveal themselves in a sharp fluidity and quiet seduction. A game of reflections of light plays with the sobriety of the ornaments that adorn the shoulders, the cuffs and highlight the décolleté of a vaporous dress in subtly transparent voile. An underlying sensuality is suggested by a skillful balance of cut-outs and draping.
Olivier Theyskens expresses for Azzaro a renewed, free and assertive language which resonates with the times.
