Friday, January 25, 4pm, PRATIBUS DISTRICT (AltaRoma's Headquarters). The Academy will stage the fashion show Korea Project, which stems from a collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, the Korean Cultural Institute and the Hanbok Advancement Center. Eleven collections, entirely designed and realised by the Academy's students, will combine a strong inspiration coming from Korean traditions and the western origins of the creators.
Furthermore, Korean designer Young Ae Lee will present different interpretations of the Korean traditional dress "Hanbok", showcasing ten traditional dresses and eleven versions reinterpreted in a modern key: purpose of the show is to express how the Hanbok, always characterised by graceful lines and shapes throughout the 5,000-year history of Korea, has adapted its styles and forms in various ways according to lifestyle, social conditions and the aesthetic taste of the times.
