The Commissariat also recalled that among the requirements of the Italian pavilion design competition launched in recent weeks there is the ability to integrate exemplary models of sustainability, optimization of water and energy resources, waste recycling, the construction and plant components. respect for the environment.
The signing of the agreement with the Italian advocacy, which takes place simultaneously with the presentation of the first Italian version of the UN 2018 Report on the Development of Water Resources, realized thanks to the CNF, establishes how the next Universal Exposition of 2020 represents a platform fundamental to reinforce the implementation of environmental rights, the protection of the Mediterranean Sea, the harmonization and evolution of international law between the different legal systems of the 22 countries of the three continents bordering the Mediterranean and the enlarged Mediterranean.
