London Fashion Week: September 2018

London Fashion  Week has started after days of snow; the novelty this time is been the physical participation of Her Highness Queen Elisabeth the II at the British Fashion Awards. The winner Richard Quinn was complimented by Her Majesty and the all concentration of course was on the RH (Royal Highness).
Apart from the weather,we got on with catwalks and presentations very well;starting at Pam Hog to view his phantasmagoric collection made out of nets in powder pink and blue with extravagant frills all over, very carnivalesque  and sexy.Alexander White is back to the disco queen of the 70s while Jens Langesem dresses his manikins in pale matt shades of darkness.Lots of merging talents, lots of fun among fanny faces but forgetting stage masks I moved into something more serious, like the exquisite presentation of Paul Costelloe and the supersonic runaway of Jasper Conran, where the international press gathered fighting for a seat or even a standing:Susie Menkez,American Vogue were there, the Evening Standard Maurice Mullen and famous Hilary Alexander in front row around the fashion Icon Dam Zandra Rhodes occupied in watching the outfits with enthusiasm and accuracy trying not to miss out anything.
An approach to Haute Couture was done by Advenick but more intriguing was Rohmir with trains in a flower spread of colours, while Rokystar and Eden were making their way through with a Victorian latest wavelength of trends. A remarkable Sophia Webster filled with royal and imperial splendour her models in a blast of Fuchsia and Gold. Taka Naka launched a staircase as a runaway, gilded by phantasmagoric tapestries as the textiles used in his collection. Teatum Jones dressed evening wear with surprising elegant gowns, blue was the colour of choice while most of all the other designers pinpoint orange, yellow and ocra as the most trendy ones. Malan Breton girls in natural silk organza had woods and trees prints as sharp glory of the mystic. Paula Knorr is reviving a sexual woman rapped in black sequences and orange glitter gloss as the Rita Hayworth décolleté shaped  like a mar-made. Happy to see Pringle new collection where its refined mongolian cashmere is been perfectly knitted  in games of various colours in row lines jacquard and tartan. Many more have been showing but time was tight and i couldnt see them all.
