MUZUNGU SISTERS

THE 5TH EDITION OF MONTE-CARLO FASHION WEEK (MCFW©)

DEDICATED TO TALENT SCOUTING Muzungu Sisters, created by Tatiana Santo Domingo Casiraghi & Dana Alikhani,
selected the MCFWÓ for their runway debut

Federica Nardoni Spinetta, President and Founder of the Chambre Monegasque de la Mode and Talent scout declares :“I am honoured to announce the extraordinary participation of the brand Muzungu Sisters of Tatiana Santo Domingo Casiraghi and Dana Alikhani, real supporters of ethical fashion. Very suitable for the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week, the brand created in 2011 by Tatiana Santo Domingo Casiraghi and her friend Dana Alikhani, will have their runway debut in Monaco presenting refined outfits and accessories produced by artisans from 16 countries in 4 continents. Embroideries, precious details, natural colors and knits woven following millennial local traditions, represent a special type of manufacturing inherent to the artisans’ cultural heritage, that the brand wishes to preserve and enhance, while offering autochthonous populations a sustainable way of living.  Muzungu Sisters are outward-looking collaborating with like-minded designers like Missoni, Delphine Delafon and Olympia Le Tan, to produce exclusive abridged collections, that merited the Muzungu Sisters to be recognized with the 2014 UN’s Women Together Award.”  Federica Nardoni  Spinetta  sounded very enthusiastic when concluding: “We are very satisfied with the results of last year’s MCFW©, that gains in prestige with every new edition, especially because we are accomplishing our mission to promote emerging brands by talented designers, amid high class events by already recognized insignias, reinforcing the growing interest for fashion in the Principality of Monaco.
